AMC Liquidators CEO and founder, Michael Grimme awarded esteemed Sun-Sentinel Excalibur Award
Boca Raton, FL – April 23, 2010. At an awards ceremony held Thursday, April 22 at the Boca Raton Resort and Club, Michael Grimme, founder and CEO of Tamarac-based AMC Liquidators, was presented with the Sun-Sentinel Excalibur Award (http://bit.ly/AMCExcalibur).
The honor is bestowed annually by the Sun Sentinel Co. to business leaders in south Florida who have distinguished themselves and contributed to the improvement of the region’s communities.
Candidates are nominated by members of the community and selected by former Excalibur winners and Sun Sentinel Co. executives based on the following criteria:
- The ability to build and innovatively develop their company.
- The ability to increase company profits or stock value for shareholders, enhance customer service or create jobs and career opportunities within their company.
- Contributions to the south Florida community, especially in their commitment to actively participate as a leader in charitable and civic groups.
Grimme has been widely recognized in the South Florida media for his business achievements, most notably in the liquidation of accused ponzi schemer, R. Allen Stanford offices and for partnering with Fisher Auction Company this past January in the auction of contents from the law offices of Rothstein, Rosenfeldt and Adler.
Grimme was recently inducted into the 2010 Junior Achievement Small Business Hall of Fame and has served his community as a past president of the Fort Lauderdale Rotary Club and a past board member of the Broward County Boys and Girls Club.
While he is the driving force behind AMC Liquidators, he acknowledges the team effort in his business pursuits. In his acceptance speech at the event, Grimme thanked his family and staff for their support and credited them as being an integral part of his success.
