Job Description:

AMC Liquidators is one of the country's premier commercial and residential furniture liquidators – and the only one to specialize in both.

AMC continually acquires fine furnishings and room décor from 4 & 5 star hotels, as well as excess inventories and closeouts of new fine furnishings from interior decorators and manufacturers. We offer these distinguished furnishings to the public and to businesses at reasonable prices.

AMC purchases furniture from offices that are moving, renovating or closing. We also sell excess inventories of high-quality new furniture for home and office from the world’s largest business-to-business services.

Position Summary

The Sales Support Associate is responsible for assisting the floor and outside sales associates in all aspects of customer service and other office-based duties. This is a customer service and administrative role.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Answer phones as needed to respond to customer inquiries.

2. Perform additional basic duties including register sales transactions and to ensure that store is clean, organized, and pricing signage is in order.

3. Provide excellent customer service during and after the sale to optimize the customer's overall experience.

4. Coordinate deliveries, acting as liaison between delivery department and customers and follow up on customer "pick-ups".

5. Provide customer service backup, handling various customer requests.

6. Assist on sales floor when needed.

7. Create inventory transfers and assist with inventory and cycle counts.

8. Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in retail/store operations and/or furniture sales; one year customer service experience.
  • Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills required (emphasis on listening skills and presentation skills); fluent in English, Spanish a plus.
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
  • Able to analyze situations and gather information to develop sound, ethical business solutions.
  • Ability to use cash handling software/equipment and have basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel. Type 30-40 wpm.
  • Ability to use electronic communication devices during all working hours which includes wearing a headset or a device on or in the ear.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds regularly and climb ladders.
