OFFICE FURNITURE SALES MANAGER

Job Responsibilities:

AMC Liquidators is one of the country's premier commercial and residential furniture liquidators - and the only one to specialize in both.  We are looking to you to head up, develop and maintain volume Office accounts in South Florida. Your job will consist of locating and consulting with potential buyers in a variety the industries who are responsible for purchasing office furnishings new and pre-owned, and for restoration services. You will also be responsible for overseeing the retail showroom for the office furniture division.  

Other responsibilities include:

Attend all daily staff meetings when you are in the office and tie in by phone when you are out of the office. Our meetings are always held promptly at 9am.     

Responsible for driving sales and profitability by providing personalized guidance to customers, finding the appropriate furniture and accessories solution, which may be a combination of "new" and "used", to meet their needs. This position also serves as the in-store "expert" for questions regarding any office furniture product in the store and supports sales and marketing activities.  

Develop strategies for improved sales growth in our new Restoration and Refinishing Division.

Develop an outside sales force of experienced, proven, commission only sales representatives.

Develop a strategy to differentiate us from our competitors.

Develop strategies to support the following target markets:
- government (state and local)
- education
- corporate (large & midmarket)
- A&D (architecture & design)
- construction
- real estate (property managers & sales agents)
- office furniture dealers

Leverage on the community contacts of the CEO of AMC Liquidators to develop business.

Job Duties:

Meet or exceed sales objectives and goals.

Initiate action with customers shopping for furniture and provide impartial, knowledgeable advice about products, both new and used and the viability of the restoration process.

Qualify customers to identify their needs with respect to furniture products in order to customize and deliver a solution that best fits those needs, including furniture, accessories, equipment, and restoration and refinishing services.  

Provide excellent customer service during and after the sale to optimize the customer's overall experience.

Perform all opening and closing functions on duty days including security of the building.

Be aware of and perform the management responsibilities of all situations outlined in the Emergency Response Manual.

Support store leadership to achieve best set standards for the office furniture area.

Perform additional basic duties including register sales transactions and to ensure that the office furniture side of the store is clean, organized, and pricing signage is in order.

Answer phones as needed to respond to customer inquiries.

Job Requirements:

Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as necessary.

Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Able to analyze situations and gather information to develop sound, ethical business solutions.

Ability to use cash handling software/equipment and have basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.

Ability to lift and/or move 25-50 pounds occasionally when re-arranging showroom or assisting customers.

Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
