AMC Liquidators is all about giving back to the community…and that is exactly what we did on this Saturday the 28th. Our company participated in Rebuilding Together which is a program designed to “mobilizes teams of volunteers to revitalize neighborhoods by repairing homes and renovating nonprofit facilities and schools. By using and re-using available resource in our communities, we can provide these repairs free of charge to homeowners and communities”.
AMC proudly provided furniture to 13 homes, including dressers, mattresses, nightstands, lamps, art and even small Mother’s Day gifts.
“We want to show the community that we care. We want to show them that we can make a difference. Hopefully with our help, these families can live more comfortably in their homes. We have done it for the past seven years, and will continue to do in the years to come” says owner Pam Grimme.
Pam was one of the volunteers, helping to deliver furniture and paint a local church within the community. Poor weather didn’t stop AMC or any other volunteer. With everyone’s help on Saturday, our local community made a difference! We hope to inspire more people to volunteer their time in the future!
Today, AMC did a commercial shoot. We had people come into the store and we took video of them walking around, examining furniture, checking out prices, ect.
We are excited to have the commercial up and running next week. Watch for us on channels like Bravo, HGTV and VH1. We will have two of them running throughout the next couple of weeks!

Office furniture seems to be pouring into our stores. We are getting in new and pre- owned office chairs, executive desks and filing cabinets. We all have that beloved leather chair or sofa in our home that is impossible to keep clean. No one wants their guests to come over and sit on a chair with a big brown stain or have their sofa filled with old cookie crumbs. Try these simple steps and your leather furniture will look new every day!
1.Use a damp cloth to brush away any dirt or loose debris on the surface.
2.Get a moisturizing soap (Dove works perfect) and a soft damp cloth. Rub into the stained area. Do not use lots of water and let the soap soak in. Your first thought will be to try and rinse out the soap but don’t rinse afterwards. The soap will help keep the leather soft.
3.If you have a stain such as ink, take a cotton ball with alcohol and gently rub onto the stain.
4.If you have dark stains on light leather get one part lemon juice and one part cream of tartar. Mix well and rub the paste into the leather. Let it sit for 10 minutes before repeating. Remove with a damp sponge.
Taking preventative steps to keep your furniture clean and stain free can be easy. Try and keep your leather furniture pieces out of direct sunlight. This will keep it from drying and cracking. Wipe leather with a soft rag 2-3 times a week. Remember the quicker you respond to a stain, the easier it is to get out. Always check the tags on your furniture before cleaning. If you can’t find any tags and are worried about damaging the piece, call the store or manufacture before proceeding. With these 4 easy steps and preventative measures your leather furniture will not only look new but it will feel new too!
